Mitigation and the Corona-virus

The safety and well-being of our customers and employees is our top priority at San Diego Water Mitigation. Due to an increase in customer inquiries, we want to take a few minutes of your time to share how we are addressing the rising concerns regarding COVID-19.

We are closely monitoring the situation and are following the latest guidelines from the World Health Organization, U.S. Center of Disease Control and Prevention and other agencies. Out of an abundance of caution, we are taking all the necessary steps to provide a safe and healthy work environment, including implementing additional protective measures in addition to our already stringent policies. We will continue to serve our community during this time for all water, mold, and fire damage needs.

Even our most basic jobs are treated with cleaning agents to inhibit the potential for future growth of fungal spores. Stringent protocols are always used as we already know there are contaminants present. These cleaning agents that are used cover a range of environmental contaminants that include viruses. While these products have not been tested specifically against SARS-CoV-2, the cause of COVID-19, the EPA expects them to be effective against SARS-CoV-2 because they have been tested and proven effective on either a harder-to-kill virus or against another human corona-virus similar to SARS-CoV-2. There are several products we use that are EPA listed for cleaning related to human corona-viruses and many other environmental contaminates. Our technicians choose the most appropriate one for the specific requirements of a job; with many factors considered. Including EPA rated toxicity levels and methods of application.
